In 2024, we proudly experienced significant growth in our junior membership, with a 10% increase from the previous season. We successfully fielded 12 Miniroos teams across age groups from U7 to U12, and 9 Junior teams from U12 to U17, showcasing the increasing enthusiasm and engagement of young players in our club.
Building on the success of our MiniTillies Girls Kick-Off Program and the Go Girls initiative launched at the end of last year, we saw remarkable progress in girls' participation.
Our girls' program grew from 2 teams to 5 dedicated squads, a testament to our efforts in fostering inclusivity. Looking ahead, we have already set plans to expand further by adding two additional girls' teams in 2025.
As part of our commitment to growth, we have focused on offering skill-based teams to retain talented players within our junior ranks. This season, we successfully fielded not only Wallabies teams but also a Kangaroos side and two junior teams competing in B-grade leagues.
Our vision remains clear: to support our players and coaches in competing at the highest levels possible, aligned with their abilities and potential.
Our goal is to establish a clear and steady pathway for young players aspiring to join our future senior squads.
This year, we proudly promoted a handful of junior players into our reserve squad, giving them valuable senior football experience towards the end of the season. Moving forward, we remain committed to creating opportunities for our young players to progress into senior football by strengthening pathways between our U17 teams and the reserve squad.
